The Bob Mackie and Pete Menefee creations travelled from Jubilee! to Dita Las Vegas to The Last Showgirl set —- and Jesse followed them the whole way.

💝💒 I’ve gotten a lot of advice from people in our lives about how to have a healthy marriage: communication, trust, always being on the same team. Things that feel like cliches when you say them out loud– but really are true at their core. Throughout all these conversations, the one thing I’ve come to know is that loving well is a thing you do, not a lottery that you win. Even though it does feel, at times, that I’ve already won the best lottery that there is.

I promise that I will always be an active participant in loving you. I will always lend you a genuine listening ear and approach conflict with an open heart and a willingness to compromise.

I promise to show you the same grace and patience that you’ve shown me in trying times and I commit myself to building a peaceful life alongside you – whatever it takes. We’re in this together, you and me, through good times and bad.

One day, years from now, we’ll wake up and we’ll be old and grey— too tired or too sick to do much of anything— and we’ll be surrounded by a house filled wall-to-wall with photos of the life we built and shared together. With nothing left to do but sit together on the couch, your hand tucked into mine, and laugh. I can’t think of an ending more perfect than that.
